Cohesity is supplying a managed clean‑room capability within HCLTech’s VaultNXT offering.

Founded in 1976, India‑based HCLTech is a global technology firm with over 223,000 employees across 60 countries, delivering technology services and product capabilities for AI, digital, engineering, cloud and software. Besides this new Cohesity collaboration, it also maintains partnerships with Commvault and Rubrik. VaultNXT is HCLTech’s consulting‑led, end‑to‑end cyber‑resilience and ransomware‑recovery framework and managed service, leveraging third‑party software for data protection and security. A clean‑room is an isolated, secured bounded environment for examining and testing compromised systems and data.

Kit Beall, Cohesity’s Chief Revenue Officer, stated: “Cyber recovery strategies need to go beyond restoring data to include investigation, validation, and trusted recovery. With VaultNXT’s proven framework, Cohesity and HCLTech are bringing together market‑leading managed clean‑room services and AI‑powered data security to help our customers recover trusted data faster, meet compliance requirements, mitigate risk, and operate with greater confidence.”

VaultNXT features policy‑driven cyber vaulting, immutable clean recovery copies, governed access, and audit‑ready processes tailored for DORA, NIS2 and other resilience‑related regulatory mandates. Integration of Cohesity’s Clean Room and AI‑enabled data security delivers a fully managed isolated recovery environment equipped for secure investigation, containment, validation and recovery.

This latest cooperation builds upon a 2022 arrangement where HCLTech deployed Cohesity vaulting within VaultNXT.

Rampal Singh, SVP of Hybrid Cloud Business Unit at HCLTech, commented on this clean‑room expansion of the Cohesity partnership: “By combining HCLTech’s global scale and cyber‑resilience expertise with Cohesity’s AI‑powered data security and recovery, we help customers cut downtime, remain compliant and operational, and respond faster to evolving cyber threats amid the expanding AI landscape.”

Cohesity now joins Commvault and Rubrik as HCLTech’s technology partners. HCLTech has partnered with Commvault since 2015, offering a Commvault‑powered VaultNXT solution to help enterprises upgrade cyber resilience from threat prevention to holistic end‑to‑end security defense. VaultNXT is a consulting‑oriented cyber‑resilience and ransomware‑recovery managed framework instead of a standalone backup product.

Its typical components cover:
‑ Cyber recovery assessment and vault design (mapping critical applications and data, auditing incident‑response readiness)
‑ Immutable / air‑gapped copies and zero‑trust‑style vault
‑ AI/ML‑based ransomware & anomaly detection, threat scanning for backup datasets
‑ Validation of golden recovery copies
‑ Clean‑room recovery (restore and test inside isolated environments, not production systems)
‑ Ongoing operation and monitoring services with flexible pricing options

HCLTech also runs a cyber‑resilience service built on Rubrik Security Cloud. HCLTech designs, deploys and frequently operates vault and recovery workflows, while Rubrik provides the underlying zero‑trust backup‑and‑recovery platform, which includes:
‑ Immutable architecture preventing ransomware from altering backups
‑ AI/ML‑driven ransomware monitoring and investigation
‑ Sensitive‑data discovery covering data assets, locations and access permissions
‑ Turbo Threat Hunting: scanning thousands of snapshots for compromise indicators within minutes
‑ Infected‑snapshot quarantine
‑ Orchestrated recovery for applications and identities
‑ Optional Rubrik Cloud Vault for additional off‑site immutable cloud archives
‑ Data‑security command center assessing recoverability and security gaps

This Rubrik‑based offering does not include clean‑room functionality. HCLTech delivers managed resilience on top of it via continuous monitoring, anomaly detection and recovery orchestration based on Rubrik threat analytics and pre‑computed metadata. The two parties share more than 20 joint enterprise customers.
