Headquartered in Italy, Cubbit offers its fully cloud-hosted DS3 Cloud and on-premises DS3 Composer software, enabling users to build custom S3-compliant object storage environments. Commvault delivers traditional on-premises data protection and cyber resilience tools, alongside its cloud-native Commvault Cloud SaaS and AWS-focused Clumio SaaS protection solutions.

Its proprietary metadata and software layer orchestrates these distributed resources into unified capacity environments, delivering cost advantages over mainstream public cloud storage alternatives.
Under the new Commvault partnership, clients can deploy Cubbit’s fully managed DS3 Cloud via authorized partners or implement DS3 Composer on-premises. Both solutions leverage Cubbit’s European-built technology and store data on local European infrastructure, supporting regional and national-level digital sovereignty compliance across Europe.
Enterprises can leverage the S3-compatible DS3 storage as a reliable repository for backup datasets and long-term data retention. The setup preserves full customer control over data localization, operational environments, and encryption key management.
